Los nominados elegibles lanzaron música desde el 29 de octubre de 2020 y el 31 de octubre de 2021. La votación previa para el Top 10 mundial de los fans comenzó el 4 de noviembre hasta el 22 de noviembre y la votación principal para el Icono mundial del año comenzó el 25 de noviembre hasta la transmisión de la ceremonia de premiación.
